Circle - Fort Yukon
Our first camp in the Yukon Flats
The Petromax fire boxer is a real overhammer !
You can hardly cook better and with very little wood, without leaving a fire mark.
Very nice camp !
At this location I could not see the very thick permafrost ice that has always been there ...
This year there is hardly anything left to see from the ice, it melts to a frightening extent !
Despite my many GPS points we have to be careful not to get stuck !
Another nice camp site on a sand island !
On this island I tried again to talk sensibly with Siggi's wife, but unfortunately without success!
She still thinks I have no idea and she knows everything better...
The barrel is full I will end the tour in
Fort Yukon.
I feel bad for the others in the team who have to suffer from the misery, but I have to finish the tour before another accident happens or even worse..
Kniddeln with the Liard Firebox !
Loui is happy about his successful Kniddeln ! What a blessing that he was on the expedition ...
I've been having trouble with my engine for a few days now. Today suddenly nothing worked anymore !
Sigi had to tow me some time...
Finally there are enough sand islands where we can camp without mosquitoes !
The weather is now very mixed...
I have been avoiding such logpiles since my capsizing in 2011...
The salmon fishing is stopped, it may be fished only on few days...
A very bad thing for all people in the Bush !
Louis at the Arctic Circle
66 33 The Arctic Circle
I've been here a few times before, but still beautiful again and again ...
