Fort Yukon - Fairbanks
The engine is causing more and more problems, I can't drive any further...
And I'm happy about it ... ;)
We still drove up the Porcupine with the catamarans, but suddenly my engine failed completely and we had to camp on an island.
The whole evening we saw and we heard a dog howling bitterly on the other side of the river!
The next morning he was on the cat, he had swum over the Yukon to our camp.
First we fed him properly. He is coming with us to Fort Yukon, where he will most likely come from !
Siggis wife wanted us to leave him in the bush, well now everything is clear who does not like animals is a strange person anyway...
After a good portion he was satisfied...
I got my engine to run, but under load it died again and again, so Sigi pulled me back to Fort Yukon, although very slowly !
We decided not to drive the last 300 km because it doesn't make sense with my engine !
Furthermore all fishcamps are closed because of the fishing ban, so it makes no sense to drive the last 300km to the bridge at Dalton Hwy...
When the dog saw Fort Yukon he wanted to jump into the water immediately ! So we were right with our assumption, he comes from Fort Yukon...
Arriving at Fort Yukon, a rainbow greeted us

Could I have had my engine repaired?
Yes, of course easy my friend Ben would have helped me, but I just didn't want to go on with people who didn't show me any respect and didn't do what I proposed.
The Yukon isn't Disneyland, that some people apparently don't realize!
It was pure luck that no more accidents happened during the tour!
For Loui & Siggi I feel sorry. I would have liked to ride with him to the end but not with the others who spread nothing but bad moods and made everything ridiculous.
There he goes, my Kat!
Exactly as overcast as the sky, so is also my mood ...
I left the tubes in Fairbanks. Later I sold them to Mario Goldstein, he float the Yukon to the end with them!
Many thanks to Ben Stevens for his hospitality, without him everything would have been much more difficult in Fort Yukon !
Ben left his house and car to us so we could pack our equipment and transport everything to the airport....
Thank you so much Ben !!!
Everything is ready at the airport of Fort Yukon, well almost everything....
Good that we had an airplane for us alone, because otherwise we would not have got our whole equipment with us at all!
Last view ( for this year ) of the Yukon River !
Off we go in the direction of Fairbanks ...
Arrival in Fairbanks Alaska
Landed safely, the 2013 Exp. is finished ...
For me it was the most unpleasant trip of my whole Yukon tours. Never before I had fellow travellers disrespected me so much as on this tour.
Only Loui & Sigi were a bright spot !
Without them, the tour would have been a disaster...
I will never take absolute beginners with me on a tour again, that was a very bitter lesson for me...
